Key things not to be missed at Airfield Estate
- The House - Orginally owned by the Overend family, the heritage experience explains who they were but more importantly, what they were. Pioneering, adventurous, caring, driven, visionary and inspiring. We learn a lot from them every day. Their spirit lives on.
- The Farm - We've got chickens, goats, donkeys, Jersey cows, Jacob sheep to name a few. The farm also produces meat, milk and eggs daily to Overends Kitchen.
- The Gardens - Our gardens aim to be both pretty and productive throughout the year. They integrate areas for relaxation and recreation whilst also supplying Overends Kitchen with seasonal vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers.
- The Vintage Car Garage - Home to the Overend's personal cars including Letitia's 1927 Rolls-Royce, Naomi's prized Austin Tickford and their mum's little Peugeot Quadrilette.
- World of Soil - Discover the importance of soil and its role in sustaining life on our planet. From the tiniest microorganisms to the complex ecosystems that rely on them, the soil is the foundation of our natural world.
- Community Garden - The Airfield Community Garden is a shared community space for people to come together and learn about sustainable food production, meet with like-minded people, and get their hands dirty helping in the garden and with the harvest of food crops.
